Recently, my friend recommended me to try Swift Publisher. So far, I don’t regret that decision. This program has turned out to be the most convenient program I have ever tested.

I love this solution for an outstanding set of functions it offers. On the one hand, all features are easily accessible and do not require a tough learning curve. On the other hand, the program allows creating multiple designs of different levels of complexity.

For instance, Swift Publisher possesses several tools for making labels and envelopes. The choice of discs label templates in Swift Publisher is second to none. If you are looking for CD/DVD or Blu-ray label software for Mac, consider going for Swift Publisher.

In general, the number of ready-made templates exceeds a couple of  hundreds significantly. To make flyers and brochures is a pure pleasure. The program’s brochure templates are helpful indeed. Besides, the function of Two-Page Spreads allows customizing the double-page products easier than ever before.

This flyer design software for Mac distinguishes with its import capabilities. I can choose the necessary images from my albums on a laptop, as well as use the power of iTunes library. Moreover, this flyer app for Mac supports an unlimited number of project’s layers, so that complex designs can be created without any problems.

Also, I adore the Master Pages feature. Due to it, this publishing software for Mac turns the repeating content (like common background, footers or headers) creation into a fast and smooth process.

All in all, this layout program offers everything that a designer needs: intuitive user interface, numerous functions and tools, ready-made and customizable templates, etc. As an icing on the cake, even the free trial is included. So anyone can check out the solution’s abilities.

If you have been facing problems with security issues at your home or workplace consider that problem gone with Kami indoor camera. With the new innovative technology, there is absolutely no shortage of security cameras available these days.

And this Shanghai-based Yi technology is not familiar with many people. But it is becoming one of the top class security devices that most people are now opting. The new Kami security indoor camera is expected to struggle as it is going to face a very stiff competition with other big names in the market. Big names such as Nest and Arlo are very familiar with people and Kami has to convince the consumer to purchase it.

Nevertheless, the security camera will surely attract a lot of clients because it carries all the needed features that most people crave for in security cameras. Let’s take a look!

Kami Indoor Camera Design and Features

The camera comes with a very low price and it was packed in a number of useful features. The camera offers 192×1080 high-def lens that provides 110-degree viewing angle along with a night-vision mode just like the live poker room camera at kingjohnnie.com. Adding to that, the camera carries two-way audio so that you can check in with people at home when you need to.

Moreover, there is also the availability of a USB port that will enable you to keep or save some of the footage for future use. However, as the name says, this is an indoor camera and that means it does not have any water resistance feature because it is not suitable for outdoor use.

Getting Started

Setting up this wonderfully made indoor security camera is just a piece of cake. All the credit goes to the well-designed app that will give you a complete guide on how you can set up the camera in simple steps. Just like in games at the online casinos in the united states, the guide will offer the tutorial on how you can use this top device if you are using it for the first time.

If your aim is to secure a career in Information Technology (IT) then you probably want to study IT at college. You may be wondering what the difference is between the curricula offered at different colleges. The truth is that although the actual curriculum may be slightly different at each college, the topics covered will be fairly similar, if you are taking a similar course.

IT training providers such as Upskilled tailor their courses so they accurately reflect the requirements of working in a specific industry, such as IT, so it follows that if you study a course that covers a particular area, such as business systems analysis, you will cover the same topics, even if you don’t study them in the same way.

What exactly is a curriculum?

If you start an IT course then you will have a curriculum to follow. This curriculum dictates what areas you will study in order to complete the course. In other words your curriculum tells you what classes the institution you have chosen expects you to complete in order to complete your cause of study and gain your qualification. You can see how it’s possible for curricula to read differently even though the topics covered may be the same. Different colleges use some different terminology and have different practices.

Why is the curriculum important?

You may be thinking that if all colleges teach the same thing, why is a curriculum so important? The truth is that all colleges do not necessarily teach the same thing. While it is possible for different colleges to cover many of the same topics, they may not necessarily afford the topics the same level of prominence.

If you want to specialise in your IT career, as a Cloud computing expert for instance, then you have to make sure that the curriculum suits your requirements. The course syllabus will give you an idea of this as it outlines the important aspects of the course, but you need to pay attention to the curriculum as well.

This is why it’s a good idea to decide where you want to concentrate your job search when you complete your period of study. Working in IT is a very wide ranging career option and if you want to be more specific in your aims then you may want to find a course that provides more emphasis in a particular area. For instance, if you have a head for business, then combining this with your IT skills may be a good idea.

Many colleges provide courses that specialise in Business Systems Analysis. If you enrol on one of these courses then you will gain the wide ranging IT skills you need, together will skills in other areas such as problem solving, negotiating and people management. You can see how important is to consider your future before you decide on the right IT course for you. Once you have decided you can choose a course with a curriculum that suits your aspirations.

With the right apps, you don’t have to wonder who’s winning the game, how well your fantasy team might be doing, or just how many touchdown passes someone like Peyton Manning managed to throw while you were at the store. These apps put the latest schedules, statistics, and news a few taps away, along with photos, podcasts and maybe even live-stream video from the game. Here are our favorite sports apps for any kind of fan.

ESPN SportsCenter

It used to be called ScoreCenter, but ESPN’s flagship app is now called SportsCenter — and the rebrand brought many new features and a facelift. Now it gives you updates and scoring information for the big games of the day, different teams and leagues’ breaking news, as well as configurable notifications. You can easily put together a list of your favorite teams, so the app gives you a personalized news experience and updates from the athletes and franchises you’re following.

CBS Sports

This app gives you personalized states, updates, and analysis of your favorite leagues and teams, but it also delivers live streaming for many events including the PGA tour and NCAA basketball. You also get access to game highlight video on-demand, original video programs, and expert analysis. It’s not quite as good as having Arsenal tickets to all home and away fixtures, but it’s close.

theScore

theScore delivers live, real-time game statistics and updates, plus breaking news. There’s an event calendar so you can look up games coming up, past match statistics, and the most important plays and latest scores. There are detailed statistical breakdowns for matches if you’re a numbers junkie, and play by play breakdowns too. theScore presents sports news in a visually gorgeous set of headlines, and there are social features to make sharing stories, game summaries, and stats with your friends easy.

Yahoo Sports

It used to be called Sportacular, now it’s called Yahoo Sports — Yahoo’s sports apps syncs between their website and the app, delivering the best in news, statistics, and scores for the sports you follow. In particular, Yahoo Sports delivers extremely detailed team, player, and game states, as well as extremely customizable notifications to keep you posted on scoring plays, close game situations, and game starts.

Team Stream

Unlike the generalist approach taken by other apps, The Bleacher Report’s Team Stream app takes a pin-point focus on your favorite teams and franchises. Simply tell the app about your favorite teams, and it pulls in real-time relevant notifications from sources across the Internet. You get stories, scores, videos, and photos from your favorite clubs.

Thuuz Sports

Unlike most apps, Thuuz Sports’ standout feature is the way it rates ongoing and upcoming games on its own excitement scale, from 0-100, so you can figure out in advance if a particular game is worth taking the time to watch. You can choose which leagues and teams to follow across many different sports, and the app highlights the games in the feed and notifies you of both games coming up as well as game-changing moments. If you’re a fantasy football or baseball fan, you can import your teams into the app and use the feed to track player notifications.

When it comes to engineering, the last thing I ever want to do is more unnecessary work. I have enough numbers to crunch already. Last month, I came across a handy little tool from Progressive Automations. It’s an actuator control app for your iPhone or Android.

The Wi-Fi Actuator Control App

You can view the specs here for the app.

At first, I was a bit skeptical. After all, they’re seemingly offering a ton of control options for virtually free. After working with it for a few weeks, I was much happier than at the outset. I recently performed a job for a sound engineer. He needed a microphone stand that was automated with a few actuators. The app was perfect for this application, and I decided to give it a shot.

Features Overview

I went for it because of the speed control. Speed controllers for actuators can cost a bit of cash, so the app cut down on the cost. It works perfectly, like any other speed controller. It’s also slightly more responsive than a speed control module. At the lower speeds, the physical controller will stop being so responsive. The app can handle the signals better, letting me slow the actuator down further than I would otherwise. Slow speeds were essential in this project, because millimeters of distance can change the sound coming through a microphone.

Secondly, the other features allowed better function for various jobs. The app lets you switch from momentary to non-momentary control options. This makes it easy when I wanted to complete retract both actuators. If they are both in extended position, I just switched it to non-momentary and pressed the button. It brought both actuators back to the starting position. This is also where the simultaneous control option can in handy.

One of the best parts about this app is the preset features option. You can record your movements, and then replay them back. There are six slots for these. This is very useful in recording situations, since you might have to record a few different bands in a single day and have to use different setups for each band.

I love the fact that the app cuts down on the cost of components. Actuators and controls are already expensive enough without having to put out for additional components. Speed controllers, rocker switches and timers can be rather expensive.

The only downside is that if you’re not well-versed in electronics or tech, you have to use the control box that comes with it. It’s a Wi-Fi controlled app, and it gets the signal right from the control box. I’d like to see the control box come down in price. But even so, considering that I saved a good $100 or more from the added components, it’s not a bad price.

All in all, this app is definitely recommended for anyone who uses actuators for projects. Especially if you have an iPhone or Android (of course you do).

Online sports betting has been evolving with new technologies over the past several years.  One of these main technologies is the ability to place bets quickly and easily from your mobile phone or device.  In fact the percentage of bets placed through a mobile device is nearing 50% and will become the most popular method for placing wagers in the near future.

The reason for this switch is really quite simple.  Placing bets from your mobile phone is faster and easier than logging on to your computer, plus you can place your wagers from anywhere you are at any time.  The fact that mobile betting goes hand in hand with in-play betting, another relatively new sports betting technology, means that the sky really is the limit for mobile betting.

Why Mobile Betting is Superior and Here to Stay

I touched on why mobile betting is taking off in the last paragraph, but I’ll go into more detail on some of the main reasons here.

You Can Bet From Anywhere

With mobile betting you don’t have to be at home on your computer to place your bet.  You can be out on the town or simply in another room in the house and still place your wagers.  Here are some of my favourite examples of when this would come in handy:

  • You are at the bar with friends and want to place a bet on the upcoming game.
  • You are actually live at a sporting event and notice something that gives you a tip on the possible outcome of the game.
  • You are at work and talking with a friend realize that you want to place a bet on the nights game.
  • You are sitting in front of the TV and don’t want to get up to make that long walk to the computer room.

The options for sports betting really do become endless when you are able to place bets from your mobile device.

Best Sportsbook for Mobile Betting

Every reputable online sportsbook will now have a useable mobile betting platform for their platforms.  That’s not to say that some sportsbooks have done a better job than others with implementing this technology.

A favourite site for mobile betting is without a doubt Bet365.com (check out a thorough Bet365 review here).  When you visit their website on your mobile phone it automatically shows the mobile betting website, which is extremely simple and easy to use.

And an added bonus with Bet365 is that they offer by far the most in-play betting lines you will find online.  This allows you to place quick bets on events that you are currently watching.  As we all know tossing a few bucks down on a game makes it much more exciting to watch.

Most of us need a TV and most of us love our TV. It is something that takes pride and place in the front room. However, we all have our televisions for differing reasons: there are just the general TV watchers, then there are the movie aficionados, the sport nuts and the gamers. There are differing TV’s to suit every taste, below are some of the best.

TV for sport viewing

LG 55LB7200

This 55 inch television is ideal for anyone wanting to watch sports. This 4k television ticks every box necessitated for perfect sports watching. The IPS panel (screen) gives for the brightest of colours and the best contrasts around. This TV would have been perfect to watch the recent US PGA Tour. It was a rain lashed encounter that would be every bit as challenging for your TV, as it tried to brighten up the dismal weather conditions and create decent contrast out of green and grey, something that the LG 55LB7200 can achieve. Luckily we had Rory McIlroy to help things along. The Northern Irish golfer’s fine form continues as he became the first player to win back to back Majors since Padraig Harrington in 2008. This TV is very much like McIlroy: I.E. the best in the business, if you were to bet on golf you would back McIlroy whilst if you were to bet on picture quality it would be the LG – the way things are going for the two right now it is as if they cannot be beaten, which is a good thing for Team Europe who take on Team America in the Ryder Cup in the not so distance future.

TV for gaming

Samsung UN46H7150

A 46 inch 1080p 3D LED TV is usually enough to saturate even the most ardent of gamers appetite but the UN46H7150 does not only saturate, it wets. This TV follows in the trend of curved televisions and as such has nearly eradicated the side-angle viewing problem. In terms of spec for gamers, it has a quad core processor that allows for the Smart Hub to run extremely smooth, making motion lag a thing of the past. It has phenomenal black levels for an LED TV while its Game Mode is perfect for anyone interested in gaming.

TV for movies

Sony KDL-55W950B Bravia

The flagship of the Sony TV’s the Bravia warrants success and this one, the KDL-55W950B is one that needs honouring. The TV’s use the TRILUMINOUS display and the X-tended Dynamic Range system. Now that may sound like technological jargon to you but in the grand scheme of things both are extremely useful. The TRILUMINOUS display aids colour reproduction giving the TV natural, almost lifelike colours, whilst the Dynamic Range gives the TV a boost in regards to contrasts. With brilliant sound quality as well as fantastic picture quality the KDL-55W950B is ideal for any religious movie fan.

 TV for average watching

Panasonic Viera TX32AS500B

Viera plasma screens have always be near the pinnacle when it comes to TVs. But this is not plasma, Panasonic have moved away from plasma now, rather it is LED but that is not to say it is anything less than grandeur of the products Panosonic have delivered in the past. It is a decent size, has a decent sound system and has, as to be expected with the manufacturers, a really good screen.

The new HTC One M8 is a phone to look forward to, and looks stunningly vibrant and colourful. It was among the polished pieces revealed at 2014 Mobile World Congress. The brand HTC is in sync with colour, vibrancy and efficiency apparent in the previous HTC One and Butterfly. The world is looking forward to HTC One M8. Let us dig into the specs and sketch out the incredibly unique features.

Design:

On the thought of a new HTC phone the first image that will surface is a grand design. HTC One M8 looks polished, and if you flip the phone, you will be pleasantly surprised with the shiny rear finish. Sources have said that the phone sports one of the most marvellous designs in recent times. The mystery behind the phones sparkling demeanour is the increase in metal layer. The earlier HTC One phone had plastic on the curves, and now with HTC One M8 it has been replaced with radiating metal. HTC has used a zero gap manufacturing design technique which simply means a uniform design with no pathway for roughness, and to achieve a non hindering feel effect the company has used bits of plastic.

HTC One M8 has microSD card compartment, and is an advanced storage feature. The microSD segment enables additional storage room; the new HTC One M8 is bigger than the previous HTC One. Its impressive dimensional features are 146.36×70.609.35mm, and weighs 160g. It is taller than its predecessor by a good 9mm and the increased depth and width dimensions are 0.5mm and 2.4mm. The phone sparkles to the core and is amazingly soft, and the curves are softer than the previous piece.

Hardware:

HTC One is engineered with innovative quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.3GHz operating capacity. The phone for Asian markets will run on 2.5GHz capacity. The interior memory capacity is 2GB RAM and the storage volume is a massive 128GB contributed by microSD expansion. There is a 50GB online storage volume on Google Drive, and all users have to do is open the Google Drive app and sign in. The extended storage volume via Google Drive and microSD expansion makes HTC One M8 a fierce contender in mobile market. Those who appreciate the 2013 HTC One to the core, the new HTC One M8 is a superior devise with regard to screen quality and versatility.

Display:

HTC One M8 is equipped with 5 inch display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and its pixel density is 441 ppi. Like other HTC phones, One M8 offers a super sharp and crisp resolution, with lots of colour and spark. The display is LDC type and the glass used is the sturdy Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that protects the phone from scratches and the viewing angles is also great. The auto-brightness power is exemplary, to the hilt, HTC One M8 is a mind blowing phone for brightness quality, and is better than the earlier product. Viewers can spot every fragment of white and colour light in detail. This is great for things like gaming on the go.

Software:

HTC has used new software in HTC One M8 called Sixth Sense, and is the latest version of HTC Sense. It is not a major change from its predecessor, just an improvement in terms of efficiency. The principle behind Sixth Sense is to simplify the movement of icons and also cleaning up fonts. It is just a simpler mode of app arrangement, and also brings colours to default apps. The communication gap will have a colour and the media apps another shade.

Features:

BoomSound is a signature feature that separates HTC One M8 from other phones. HTC is appreciated for its excellent acoustic rhythm and BoomSound offers the best smartphone sound quality.  The speakers on front grille are engineered differently, the size of micro-grilled speakers vary, which makes the BoomSound speaker emit 25% greater noise output. A greater 25% sound emission implies higher volume while browsing through YouTube and fun games like Real Racing 3 or on your Asphalt 8.

BlinkFeed is a more organized method of app segmentation; it separates social feeds and news in a more customized manner. The tile arrangement is an up gradation from the past, and there is fluid scrolling action that scrolls behind on-screen controls and short cuts. Users can use BlinkFeed where apps are compartmentalized or even toggle over to the regular home page. The toggling between Homepage and BlinkFeed screen is contributed by the power of Android 4.4 KitKat.

TV App:

TV app is an elevation from the past; it offers live sports section, integrated twitter feeds, where users can view all the latest updates from fans conversations. What is unchanged is it provides updates on TV program suggestions and supports IR blaster. However be careful when watching abroad as data charges will apply. If you have a query such as; how much is wifi in Iberia for example, you can find this information online. Click here for reviews of the best apps of the year

Motion Launch Gestures:

A new feature in HTC One M8 to watch out for is Motion Launch Gestures, the working of this feature is the fitment of hardware in sensor section of M8, to enable a series of interactions, without even having to tap standby button. To unlock users can double tap the button, and also swipe to home page or BlinkFeed, and to toggle between various screens, there is no requirement of pressing button.

Camera:

An innovative camera feature inserted in HTC One M8 is Duo Camera, on the back are a two lenses, an additional sensor to capture resolution depth and main Ultra Pixel sensor to shoot images. It is a 4 megapixel resolution camera, and the main concern is the zoom or crop capacity is not as potent as other top quality phones. The capturing speed is splendid, and users can be assured that they can shoot any image they desire. The flash output is twin tone type, and is stunning; users can capture various skin tones and objects from a close distance. The camera works well in all light backgrounds

The video capturing output is phenomenal with full high definition capture, for fast moving objects there is a full HD 60fps option. There are high dynamic range and slow motion videos as well. Users have the liberty to pause recording and carry the background to another location. HTC One M8 is not a great choice to shoot slow motion videos.

2013 generated a bumper crop of mobile apps, with everything from super-addictive games, photo-editing apps and social media tools that you never knew you needed in your life. Whether you’re an iPhone devotee or an Android fan, there were plenty of great apps to choose from, and almost as many mobile phone deals! Read on to check out some of the very best.

Google Hangouts

The demise of Google Talk was barely mourned with the release of the shiny new Hangouts app, which lets you communicate with your contacts in a myriad of ways. Send instant messages to other Google users and video chat for free. If you’re a Google+ user, you can also carry out video conferences with up to 12 people on the call. Perfect if you’re on one of the latest mobile phone deals from Virgin Media and want to make the most of your phone.

TextSecure

In light of the shocking revelations about prying government eyes snooping on our emails and texts, this app might just give you a little peace of mind. TextSecure encrypts your messages as they are being sent. But the added bonus is that stored messages on your phone are also encrypted, keeping them safe and secure from prying eyes closer to home.

Afterlight

iPhoneography will always be one of the key attractions behind Apple’s ever-sleek smartphone, and app makers are constantly trying to out-do one another to make your photo experience even better. Afterlight has the usual selection of cool filters to instantly transform your humdrum shots, but there is also a great collection of extra tools to help you fine-tune your masterpiece, including cropping, rotating and colour managing.

Duolingo

This easy language learning tool was picked as Apple’s top app of the year, and for the millions of users who’ve tried out this handy free app, it’s not hard to see why. It has a clear interface and uses language prompts that are actually useful to someone who wants to learn a language. With a choice of five languages, including Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and Italian, it’s an ideal primer for someone planning to travel.

Vine

An app that took us a little by surprise , but once we embraced it, we fell in love hard. How much could you do with a loop of 6-second video? Quite a lot, as it turns out. Vine was predicted to die a quick death with the launch of Instagram Video, but in the past year it has only gone from strength to strength, usefully bolstered by celebrity users sharing weird and wonderful short snippets to fans.

TimeHop

Currently available for iOS users only, this app is essentially a digital time capsule, capturing a day in your life for you to peruse at your pleasure some day in the future. Use it as a little reminder of those special moments in the past – you can wake up to a new memory everyday if you like. Or take a trip down memory lane and scroll through your social media feed from years ago.

So there are our best mobile apps of 2013. Check out the best mobile phone deals and then download these apps to see just how good they are!
